Today, I had to go stay in my folks house! This meant the gym was many a miles away and inaccessible to me. So I decided to go for a run on the road. Unfortunately, as the day progressed, I began to get a pretty massive headache. Problem is I am working on my computer all day and that, coupled with stress from my PhD, I get headaches pretty frequently. So instead, I decided it would be silly to go for a run. I just knew it was going to smash me to pieces. So instead, I decided to go for a fast walk. The normal pace of walking is around 5km or so, maybe up to 6 at max. My goal was to walk faster than 6km an hour.
Now anyone who read this blog the other day knows that I am struggling to find a way of measuring my run. Today I decided to try Nike+ GPS, its for the Iphone and it's something I had on my phone from previously but had never used!
So if your after a pretty accurate program, give it a try. Anyone else tried it? What you think? OH AND I AM NOT SPONSORED BY NIKE- BUT I LIKE THE PROGRAM!
Now the walk was great. I averaged over 6km/h and although I only walked 7.3km, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it got rid of my headache. So, that's 2 walks/runs outside in less than a week. I have to say I am enjoying it outside. May even try and keep doing it.
Oh and I swallowed a fly.... it sucked... I imagine more so for the fly!
