First off- I was going to run today but sheesh it was hot. It was 27 degrees celcius at 6pm and humid as hell. So on my slow walk today, I got home to find that I had sweated as much as I do normally on a big run. So running today would have been a terrible idea and I think if I had run- I'd be lying here typing this in a dehydrated wasteland.
What the last two days demonstrates, is that I have been walking a bit. It's happened a bit the last week.
I've hit a plateau- in two ways. Firstly, my weight loss is finally stalling. I am sitting roughly on the same weight as I have been in the last week or two. The second plateau is mental. I am struggling to enthuse myself to run again. It's not just my running thats hit the skids. Its most things in my life. I actually found myself thinking the other day- "Until I head off overseas in 4 weeks, I literally have a stable and boring life full of nothing."
So at the end of the day- I find my runs suffering as I am suffering mentally about all the stuff going on.
So it's time to mix things up a bit. Tomorrow I am going to try something completely different. What? Well you will just have to wait and see...
