
Today is hectic by any stretch of the imagination. But what is funny is that I feel GREAT! I am looking forward to running and hopefully getting a nice big 10km+ run in. It turns the day from one which is busy to one that is packed full of accomplishments.
I find it so random though. Comparitively, yesterday I did pretty much nothing! I went fishing and had a fairly chilled afternoon. Come running time- I was exhausted and sore and couldn’t move AND GUESS WHAT- I took a rest day. Today I am busy as hell but not only do I feel like a run, I want to run my guts out. Why is that?
It kind of reminds me of the feeling you get after doing exercise. Once you get past the first few weeks, after a run or a workout, you can often feel awesome. Yet you just burnt hundreds of calories and sweated and puffed for an hour or two?!?!?! WHY DO YOU FEEL GOOD?!?! It obviously is all to do with chemicals in the body and all that crap- Don't ask me- ask wikipedia!
Anyway- I know this is rambling but lets see how I go…. I am going to run at around 3:30-5:30 or so! So I will update this post at 6pm and let you know how my run went. Did today take its toll on me and make me go slow? Or has it energised me into an awesome run???
